I recently turned 35 (eek!) and have been doing a lot of thinking about habits or lifestyle changes that I could adopt that could make me a better/happier/healthier person. There are a few different things I’ve been wanting to try, but it’s a little overwhelming to think about committing to doing something forever when you’ve never even tried it!
So, for my 35th year, I’m committing to trying a few different things, one at a time, for 35 days in a row.
At the end of the 35 days, I’ll know whether I liked or disliked both the process and the outcome, and whether it’s a habit I’d like to keep. And of course, I’ll be blogging about it as I go.
My first order of business is to give up processed sugar for 35 days. I know it won’t be easy because sugar is so addictive, and it’s everywhere. But I really think if I can kick the sugar dependancy, my body will thank me for it!
I’ve started a list with some other ideas for things I’d like to try for 35 days (getting 8 hours of sleep EVERY night, giving up TV, actually drinking enough water everyday, etc) but I’d love to know if you’ve got any suggestions for healthy habits or changes that you think I should try!
